Ngargee (Ceremony) explores themes of home & Country through the stories of Barraeemal (Emu Dreaming) and the Rain Dance. The dancers interact as spirits, their ancestors holding them on Country and guiding them whilst away from Country weaving in elements of wind, rain and fire.

Ngargee Dance Group 'Ngargee' (pronounced Nar- ghee) means 'Ceremony' in the language of the Boonwurrung People. The collective nurtures young First Nations women in cultural dance.

Ngargee (Ceremony) is a partnership between Ngargee Dance Group (N'arweet Carolyn Briggs & Thara Brown) in collaboration with Dunghutti, Gomeroi artist, Zoe Brown-Holten. Ngargee Dance Group currently receive funding from Vic Health (Strong Young Mob Grant).
