Explore ArtPlay, adorned by ENOKi's artworks of local Indigenous plants and animals. Create your own puppets for shadow play, use provided materials to create artwork or build a play space together. Relax on soft cushions and dream of the future, listen to stories and music, or play with shadows. Anything is possible.

Artist Bio

ENOKi ENOKi (they/them) is a proud Dja Dja Wurrung and Yorta Yorta Blak Fulla based on Wurundjeri Country (Narrm). They’re a multimedia artist with a focus on digital media. They’ve always made art but it wasn’t until 2021 that they started to consider doing it professionally. For ENOKi, it feels good to know that they are making art that more people can see themselves represented in, especially because when they were growing up they didn’t have a lot of art they could personally relate to. They get inspiration from collecting music or going to see live music, and are heavily inspired by 80’s, 90’s and early 00’s artists, rap, hip-hop and pop culture. They also find inspiration in comic books and vintage animation, as well as native flora and fauna. ENOKi’s previous work includes the First People's RISING art tram "My Aunty Once Told Me" (Routes 58 & 59) and Apple’s 2023 World Pride Campaign. They also contributed to Solid Lines, a Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (2022) sponsored report on fostering First Nations access, participation and representation in the design and commercial art industries in Australia.

Audiences will move through the immersive space with options to sit or stand. The space will be dimly lit. A dance floor will be available for those who wish to dance.
