THE END OF AN ERA

Monday 7 July

This week, we farewell a deeply loved and integral member of the YIRRAMBOI family, J-Maine Beezley, as he wraps up his time with us in the role of Co-Lead / Lead Creative Producer.

Over the past eight years, J-Maine has poured his heart, vision, and unshakable commitment into YIRRAMBOI. From his beginnings as Ticketing Manager (2017), to Associate Producer (2019), to Producer (2021), and ultimately Co-Lead (2022), his creative courage and unwavering belief in First Nations excellence has helped shape YIRRAMBOI into the powerful platform it is today.

J-Maine has held space for artists, built pathways, and has been a champion for truth-telling through art. His spirit, laughter, and leadership will be deeply missed, but his legacy remains, in the stories told, the artists uplifted, and the futures inspired.

We thank you, J-Maine, from the bottom of our hearts. You’ve left an imprint that will carry forward through the future of this platform.

As we look ahead, YIRRAMBOI will now move into a period of strategic review and future framework, led by YIRRAMBOI Creative Lead Sherene Stewart. We do so grounded in everything we’ve built, and with full hearts, ready to imagine the possibilities of tomorrow.

With gratitude,
The YIRRAMBOI Team
