The inaugural YIRRAMBOI Festival marked a historic moment for narrm. The city’s first large-scale First Peoples-led, multidisciplinary arts festival. Across ten days, YIRRAMBOI programmed more than sixty events filled theatres, galleries, libraries, laneways and public spaces, the majority of them free.
The program spanned dance, theatre, circus, music, visual art, film, workshops and public talks, and brought First Nations artists from Wales, Zimbabwe, Canada, the United States, Aotearoa, Samoa and Taiwan joining Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists.
