Jada Narkle (Yued/Wiilman) is a Sydney based Artist currently training at Sydney Dance Company’s Pre-Professional Year (PPY2). Jada attended the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) studying Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance) in 2019 and Sydney Dance Company’s PPY1 in 2020.
Jada’s solo work is an exploration of the assigned spaces First Nations women hold in contemporary society. These societal dictations have seen First Nations women weaponised, dehumanised and used to serve as a means of colonialist agenda. However, these same bodies create the resistance, the survival, the future.
