James Henry x Grand Organ

Madhanbaa Mayrraa

James Henry explores a blend of traditional style songs in Yuwaalaraay and Gamilaraay languages, infused with the techno rhythms and the rich sonic textures of the Melbourne Town Hall’s Grand Organ.

This piece brings together James’ work over the past 10 years across unlikely genres into a cohesive blend of sound, and will be a night not to be missed.

Special guest: Tongberang’i Ngarrga.

In the Woi Wurrung language, Tongberang’i Ngarrga means ‘Born to Dance’. Tongberang’i Ngarrga are Samuel and Seth Nolan of Gunditjmara heritage, aka Brothers, and Luke Isaacs, of Noongar heritage, aka ChunKy.
