Gifted by our Elders, YIRRAMBOI means tomorrow in the local languages of the Boon Wurrung and Woi Wurrung peoples. We acknowledge them as the Custodians of the lands in which we thrive, we pay our deepest respects to their ancestors and elders who have held their Songlines through these lands for over 80,000 years. As visitors, we abide by Bunjil's lore and take responsibility in caring for country, waterways and bubups, our children, our future.

A First Peoples design forum exploring First Nation design and why it matters, presented by the Koorie Heritage Trust.

The power of blak design lies in its ability to connect and honour its past infusing these strengths into future art and design. Bringing together leading First Nations curators, creatives, architects and academics, along with renowned practitioners to speculate and imagine, yarn and collaborate.

‘’It is through this forum, that we want to explore the compelling narratives that First Nation culture holds, how Blak design has adapted and evolved to find its voice, some of the success stories and some of the more difficult issues around cultural appropriation,’’ says Tom Mosby, CEO, Koorie Heritage Trust (KHT).

Please note this is a First Nations only event.
